studios:

i have to tell you i actually commute to make it to good yoga. i have been known to get up at 5 am to drive 1 hour to a six am yoga class. so when i say i love a studio or a teacher i really mean it. there are five in my area that i cant get enough of  number one is yoga tree. the teachers are astounding ! the philosophy of yoga for every one is truly embraced and the owners are angels! if you are ever in sf please visit! the next is namaste yoga ! when i found out it was opening in Oakland that was the number one deciding factor in my move. the space is Divine! the owner is part interior designer part yogi she has some serious saraswati energy for sure! the next is yoga mandala . there are no words for how much i appreciate this studio in my personal path. i learned more about the philosophy of yoga and tantra than i ever could have hoped . they hold the space for the tradition of yoga to flourish. the next is brahmanda ashram. i love it so much that i lived there for  six months! the energy of the late but still very much present brahamandana and the incredible sanskrit classes , powerful fire ceremony and energetic bhakti filled kirtans make this the crown jewel of  San Francisco.  last but not least is renew yoga . when you are in this studio you feel held. its not unlike a mothers embrace pure love light and crystalline energy. it is home.

adornment:

I simply adore Athleta.... i might be biased i do work there. But the family of women i have there makes work feel more like home.  There is nothing like a crew of amazing shakti filled women reminding you to drink enough water, go on your run, or do your practice. Plus who doesn't like hanging out in yoga clothing all day long! i have been sharing some of my experiences with yoga on their chi site! check it out!

Manduka is an amazing resource for mats! there is something to be said for their longevity. you never need to buy a new one . I'm convinced they will last generations. Its going to be like my grandmothers jewelry but the gift of yoga :) talk about a shift !

my dear soul sister Morgan love is the creator of iron and fire her jewelry and clothing are just to good for words! I'm personally obsessed with her fringe earring's! have i mentioned she teaches yoga......

since I'm such a nut for adornment i have to tell you about this amazing kindred spirit Allison Sattinger she makes the most Divine pieces! i wear my leather cuff constantly! and her music is pure nada brahma!

another company i love is Melodia! super fun funky clothing. I have a ton of admiration for the amazing woman that heads up this company. I'm all about supporting her creative vision.
